Range and fit figures are manufacturer estimates unless otherwise stated. Real-world range and comfort vary with rider fit, terrain, temperature, wind, assist level, tire pressure, and load. Confirm current specifications on each product page and consider a test ride.

Why choose a step-through e-bike?

Easy access, stable confidence

A lower frame opening can simplify everyday mounting. It does not automatically make a bike lighter or right for every rider, so compare the details below.

01

Easy to mount

Step-through frames reduce how high you need to lift a leg when starting, stopping, or getting off.

02

Frequent stops

A lower opening can feel practical for commuting, errands, and rides with repeated starts and stops.

03

Stable everyday riding

Fit, tire pressure, handlebars, and riding position all influence control. The frame style is only one part of the experience.

04

Comfort on real roads

Compare front or full suspension and tire size for the pavement, gravel, grass, or paths you actually ride.

05

Not automatically lighter

A step-through frame can still be a substantial e-bike. Check the full bike weight before planning stairs, racks, or transport.

06

Easy to control

Easy mounting, easy control, and easy carrying are different questions. Review the specifications and try the bike when possible.

07

Choose step-over when

You prefer a traditional higher frame, a more performance-oriented position, or the geometry of a specific model.

08

Choose step-through when

Lower mounting access matters most for your stops, clothing, routine, or personal comfort and confidence.

Fit and access before you ride

Find the right fit before you ride

Use the product page and a test ride to confirm the measurements that matter. Where a field is not published, we link you to the model page instead of guessing.

01

Recommended rider height

Start with the published rider-height range, then compare your inseam, reach, saddle adjustment, and preferred riding posture.

02

Step-over clearance

Step-through access reduces the leg lift needed to mount, but frame dimensions still vary. Confirm the clearance on the model page.

03

Bike weight and transport

Easy to mount does not mean easy to lift. Check the full bike weight before using a rack, stairs, or vehicle carrier.

04

Payload and riding position

Compare payload, saddle height, handlebar reach, and upright or active riding position for your routine and load.

05

Test ride when unsure

A test ride is the best way to confirm mounting, balance at stops, reach, braking feel, and confidence on a real bike.

Frame choice, clearly explained

Step-through vs. step-over

Neither frame style is automatically right for every rider. Start with access, fit, position, and the way you plan to ride.

Step-through

Easier mounting and dismounting, especially for frequent stops and everyday riding.

Step-over

A higher frame structure that may suit riders who prefer a more traditional bike feel or a more performance-oriented position.

Before you choose

Step-through e-bike questions

Use the comparison first, then confirm the current specification, policy, and compatible parts before ordering.

What is a step-through electric bike?

A step-through e-bike drops the top tube so you step across a low frame instead of swinging a leg over the saddle. Concretely: the Kommoda 3.0's standover is 14.6″/37cm, the Path 16.5″/42cm, and the Glider 16.9″/43cm — versus about 28″ on a typical step-over frame. All nine models in this collection keep full-power motors and batteries; the frame changes how you get on, not what the bike can do.

Read the access guide
Are step-through e-bikes easier to mount?

Yes — that's the entire point of the geometry, and the difference is measurable. Every model here has a standover between 14.6″ (Kommoda 3.0) and 21.3″ (Roam), so you lift your foot roughly knee-height instead of saddle-height. If you stop frequently in traffic, ride in everyday clothes, or have hip or knee limitations, that difference is what you'll notice most on day one.

Compare access and fit
Are step-through electric bikes good for commuting?

Yes — this collection covers the practical range most commutes need. The Sprint (60 miles rated, 70.5 lb) and Path (60 miles, 77.2 lb) are the city-focused picks; the Kommoda 3.0 (68 miles) and Trax 2.0 (75 miles, 1,040 Wh) add full suspension for rougher routes; the Luxe reaches 70 miles on 20×4″ fat tires. All assist up to 28 mph, so keeping pace with city traffic is not the limiting factor — your route surface is.

Compare step-through models
What height rider is each model designed for?

The fit ranges are published per model, and they differ more than you'd expect: Kommoda 3.0 fits 4′9″–6′3″, Path and Glider 4′11″–6′3″, Luxe 5′1″–6′2″, Aura 5′1″–6′4″, Kommoda Pro 5′1″–6′3″, Trax 2.0 5′7″–6′6″, and Sprint and Roam 5′7″–6′7″. Shorter riders should start with the Kommoda 3.0; taller riders with the Trax 2.0, Sprint, or Roam. The table above shows fit, standover, and seat height side by side.

View the fit guide
Are step-through e-bikes lighter?

No — the frame style doesn't decide the weight, the build does. This collection runs 66 lb (Aura, front suspension) to 92 lb (Glider, a cargo model rated for 440 lb payload). Among the five full-suspension models, the Sprint is the light one at 70.5 lb, with the Roam, Kommoda 3.0, Kommoda Pro, and Trax 2.0 at 81.6–87 lb. If lifting weight matters (stairs, car racks), the Aura, Luxe (70.32 lb), and Sprint are the light end.

Review weight before transport
Are step-through frames stable?

Yes — modern step-through frames are engineered around the open front, and five of these nine models carry full suspension, which a fragile frame couldn't support. Payload ratings tell the story: 330 lb on the Sprint, Luxe, and Path, 350 lb on the Kommoda 3.0, Kommoda Pro, Trax 2.0, Aura, and Roam, and 440 lb on the Glider. Stability at speed comes from wheelbase and tires, not from the top tube.

View step-through models
Can I ride a step-through e-bike on gravel or grass?

Yes — pick by tires and suspension, both listed in the table. The Kommoda 3.0, Kommoda Pro, Trax 2.0, and Roam pair 4-inch fat tires with full suspension and handle gravel, grass, and broken pavement comfortably; the Trax 2.0 is the most capable with 75 miles of rated range and a lockout fork. The Sprint (27.5×2.6″) and Path (27.5×2.4″) prefer pavement and light gravel — they trade flotation for easier rolling.

What warranty and support are available?

Every e-bike includes a 30-day return window and warranty coverage, and Cyrusher can authorize up to $200 of repairs at a local bike shop rather than shipping parts. Phone and email support cover assembly, fitting, and troubleshooting questions.

Read the warranty policy
What is the real-world range?

Rated ranges here run 60 miles (Sprint, Path, Aura) through 62 (Roam, Glider), 68 (Kommoda 3.0, Kommoda Pro), 70 (Luxe), and 75 (Trax 2.0). Real-world range is lower with hills, headwinds, cold, heavy loads, high assist, and throttle use — a practical rule is to plan routes around two-thirds of rated range, then learn your own number in the first weeks.

Contact support
How much assembly is required?

Bikes arrive mostly assembled: typically pedals, front wheel, and handlebar, with charged batteries — owners consistently report under an hour with the included tools. If anything arrives out of adjustment, support covers it under warranty.

Open assembly videos and manuals
Where can I test ride a Cyrusher e-bike?

Use the test-ride page or contact an authorized dealer. In person you can compare the standover heights directly — the difference between the Kommoda 3.0's 14.6″ and the Roam's 21.3″ is obvious the moment you step across — and feel how each weight class handles. No dealer nearby? The 30-day return window covers the decision.
