For many riders, an e-bike isn’t just a mode of transport — it’s a path to health, freedom, and connection with nature. One recent story from a Colorado-based rider perfectly captures what sets Cyrusher apart. Her journey through multiple brands, and her final discovery of the Cyrusher Trax, showcases not only the bike’s capabilities but the transformative joy it brings to everyday riders — especially those looking for comfort in their cycling experience.
Sharon’s riding story:
“Riding a Trax can be described in 4 words - Powerful, Comfortable, Controlled JOY.
For comparison, I have been riding 2 other e-bikes for years - a BeeCool Adventurer 26 inch full suspension fat tire ebike with cadence sensor weighing 78 lbs, and an Electra Townie Go with torque sensor weighing 50 lbs.
In June, I ordered two Heybike Horizon 24 inch full suspension fat tire bikes with cadence sensors for myself and my husband. The bikes took forever to arrive, and as soon as I rode the first Heybike, I knew I had to cancel the 2nd order which hadn’t shipped yet. The bike weighs only 78 lbs but was very difficult to steer and control. The acceleration was abrupt and my hands hurt after 5 miles of riding from having to push and over-control the handlebars. I had a lot of trouble dealing with HeyBike Customer Service. I was really unsure about even ordering another e-bike online without knowing how it would ride.
But I took a chance on the Cyrusher Trax 24 inch full suspension fat tire with torque sensor. I’m so glad I did. It arrived 2 days after I placed the order and the Customer Service team has been excellent and responsive throughout. I was out of town so my husband assembled the Trax and took it for a ride. Here is the text he sent me that first day.
My own first impressions:
I am 5’6’’ and 110 lbs, 57 years old, and I want other ladies looking for an e-bike to know about the Cyrusher Trax 24. This bike fits me so comfortably and I feel so stable riding it in all kinds of terrain. I can ride single track again, something I couldn’t do with either of my other e-bikes. Even though it weighs 87 lbs, it handles SO MUCH more nimbly than the Heybike Horizon or the BeeCool did. In fact, it feels just as smooth and responsive as my 50 lb Townie with 2.3 inch tires. But that bike isn’t full suspension and is only suitable for paved paths. The Trax handles any terrain easily.
I have close to 200 miles on my Trax so far - all in hilly Colorado. On the paved trails it stays planted in the curves. On off-road single track trails, it has predictable acceleration and lots of power whether pedaling or using throttle. I can control the acceleration which is critical when maneuvering around trees and stumps and obstacles in the trail! The torque sensor is fantastic. In my opinion, anyone who wants to actually pedal a bike needs a torque sensor. The riding experience is completely different - you are in control of the bike with a torque sensor. You can ride hard or easy, getting as much or as little exercise as you want on any given ride.
The full suspension is another must-have feature in my opinion. I can ride so much further with my new Trax because nothing hurts even after 30 miles of gravel and ruts.
Riding a Trax can be described in 4 words - Powerful, Comfortable, Controlled JOY.
The aspect that surprised me the most about the Trax is Pedal Assist Level 0. E-bikes with 9 gears are hard to find in this segment. Something about the way this bike is geared makes pedaling without any assist super easy. It just rolls! For a fat tire 87 pound bike, I was not expecting that! Normally I start out with a little throttle in PAS 1, then as soon as I have some momentum I switch to PAS 0 and pedal comfortably in bicycle gears 1-5 until I hit an incline where I keep up my speed in PAS 1 or 2. I changed the factory setting from PAS 0-5 to PAS 0-9 because I honestly don’t need that much assist, and I think the bike’s motor is quieter with 9 levels to choose from. It rides really stealthily in PAS 0. You can just enjoy nature with a bike this quiet. And I feel like I’m getting exactly the right amount of exercise. If I want to ride faster than 10-14 mph, I go back to PAS 1-9.
The BeeCool needed at least PAS level 3 just to get going, and the Townie despite being much lighter never seemed as easy to pedal as the Trax does. It’s really surprising to me how light and easy the Trax rides and steers.
I love to “S” DOWNHILL. I just coast and lean and carve turns with the bike going downhill. It’s a blast and makes me feel like I’m 10 years old again - like I’m back on my single speed pedal brake bike with the banana seat. I finish every ride on the Trax with a BIG SMILE on my face.
Here’s a photo of me on my new Trax and my husband on the Heybike he couldn’t wait to replace with a Trax. We got him the orange color Trax 24 and he loves it. He’s 5’10’’ and will get a longer seat post as the only mod needed.

On this particular ride, we were exploring all the chair lifts around Keystone. We rode 21 miles with 2300 feet of elevation gain with ease. On the way down the slippery dirt road, the brakes did a great job of maintaining a safe speed.
I’m so pleased with my new Trax that I think I might try the new Cyrusher Kommoda 2.0 full suspension torque sensor version if my budget allows. It will be just the right size bike to take on RV trips. Standby for a review of that upgraded 20 inch ride.”
A Long Road to the Right E-Bike
Sharon’s husband had extensive experience with e-bikes before trying the Cyrusher Trax. Sharon had ridden two other fat tire e-bikes: a BeeCool Adventurer full suspension ebike, weighing 78 lbs, and an Electra Townie Go, a lighter 50-lb bike with smaller tires.
Each had features she was searching for, such as full suspension and fat tires. Yet none delivered the riding experience she truly wanted.

Despite their specs, the Heybike Horizon and BeeCool made rides feel more like a chore than an adventure. From abrupt acceleration to poor steering and even physical pain after short rides, these bikes didn’t offer the smooth, confident experience she needed.
First Impressions: Power and Comfort in Every Mile
Taking a chance, she ordered the Cyrusher Trax 24 with a torque sensor and full suspension. The bike arrived within two days, and her husband assembled it. His first ride impressed him so much that he was eager to replace his Heybike with a Trax as well.
From the moment he mounted the Trax 24, he felt a new level of stability and nimbleness. Despite its 87-pound weight, the bike handled more responsively than their previous heavier models and even felt as smooth as the lighter Electra Townie on paved trails. The full suspension and fat tires allowed her husband to confidently ride singletrack trails again-something he hadn’t been able to do before.
His words captured the essence of what Cyrusher stands for:
“Riding a Trax can be described in four words: Powerful, Comfortable, Controlled and JOY.”
Why the Trax ebike stand out?
In their late 50s, Sharon needed a bike that fit her frame without sacrificing power or durability. The Trax’s 24-inch wheels, full suspension, and fat tires offered unmatched comfort and handling — both on paved trails and rough single-track terrain.
Unlike heavier bikes with cadence sensors, the Trax's torque sensor delivered predictable acceleration and a natural pedaling experience. Whether tackling steep Colorado hills or winding through forested paths, the Trax responded with ease.
Key Performance Highlights:
- Battery Life: Lasts through 30+ mile rides over gravel and rutted trails with no discomfort.
- Stability: The 24-inch fat tires provide excellent traction and stability on gravel, dirt, and uneven surfaces.
- Motor Power: Tackles 2,300 feet of elevation gain without hesitation.
- Comfort: The combination of front and rear suspension absorbs shocks from rough terrain, reducing fatigue and allowing longer rides without discomfort.
- Control: The torque sensor makes pedaling intuitive and responsive. Unlike cadence sensors, the torque sensor measures pedal force, giving riders precise control over acceleration and power delivery. This means smoother starts, better handling on technical trails, and a more natural riding feel.
- Versatility: From leisure cruising to challenging off-road trails, the Trax does it all. With nine assist levels, including a unique PAS mode that makes pedaling without assist effortless, riders can tailor their workout and riding style.
Pedal Assist Like You’ve Never Felt
One of the most surprising features for them was Pedal Assist Level. While many fat tire e-bikes feel like dead weight without motor support, the Trax glides effortlessly even with the assist off.
This gives riders the freedom to exercise on their own terms, switching between assist levels to match their fitness goals or terrain conditions. The customized PAS 0–9 setup allows fine-tuned control and a quieter ride — perfect for enjoying nature undisturbed.
“If you actually want to pedal a bike, you need a torque sensor. The riding experience is completely different.”
This level of engagement turns each ride into a personalized adventure, where exercise and enjoyment go hand in hand.
More Miles, More Smiles
Her husband, initially stuck with the Heybike, quickly joined her in switching to the Cyrusher Trax — opting for the bold orange color.
Together, they explored the scenic Keystone area, climbing and descending steep trails with confidence and ease. The brakes handled slippery descents with precision, and the full suspension made even the roughest roads feel smooth.
For this couple, the Trax isn’t just a bike. It’s a shared experience, one that brings them closer and keeps them active together.
Sharon now eyeing the Cyrusher Kommoda 2.0, attracted to its compact size and full suspension — perfect for RV trips and weekend adventures.
Cyrusher is more than just a collection of specs and features-it’s a gateway for riders to overcome health challenges, stay active in ways that suit their individual needs, and reconnect with loved ones through shared outdoor adventures.
