You’re in control of how much you pedal on a Cyrusher e-bike. Our bikes come with both pedal-assist and a throttle, so you can ride whichever way suits you best:
Pedal-Assist: When you turn on pedal-assist, the bike’s motor gives you a boost while you pedal. It feels like an invisible push helping you along. You can usually choose different assist levels – low for a gentle help or high for a big boost. This means you can still get exercise and pedal as normal, but the bike makes it much easier, especially going up hills or against the wind. It’s like riding with the wind at your back!
Throttle: If you don’t feel like pedaling at all, just use the throttle (controlled by a twist grip or thumb lever, depending on the model). Press the throttle and the bike will go forward without pedaling, almost like a scooter or motorcycle. This is great for taking a break or quickly zooming across an intersection. You can ride at up to ~20 MPH just using the throttle.
So, you can pedal as much or as little as you want. Many riders mix both: pedal when they want some exercise, and use the throttle when they want to relax. It’s all about making the ride easy and enjoyable for you!
